Katharina Schendl is based in Vienna. She holds a Master in Architecture and a CAS in Curating. From 2009-15 she worked at mumok - Museum of Modern Art in Vienna, while also launching her own projects, such as Balkongalerie, a semi-public space focusing on emerging artists in Ljubljana 2005 and the artists' collaborative experiment MAKE.A.MATCH in Tel-Aviv, Stockholm, Los Angeles, Basel and Prishtina in 2013. She was co-founder of LambdaLambdaLambda Gallery in Prishtina from 2015 until its closure in 2025 and served as co-curator of the Kosovo Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2015. From 2017-24 she was the Vice President of the Austrian-Kosovar Friendship Association. Among other publications she was the editor of Notes on Contemporary Art in Kosovo, Sternberg, Berlin, 2019.
